I just love this picture that Asher drew of our family on Sunday.
I love my freaky weird eyes.
I love how he drew Ellie sitting.
I love how happy we all look.
I love that he and Evan are holding hands, and that Ben and I are, too.

7 Months
Ellie hit the seven month mark yesterday. She had her "six month checkup" yesterday and the doctor confirmed what we already suspected: Ellie is tall and skinny.
Height: 27.5 inches ~ 86th percentile
Weight: 14 lbs. 12 oz. ~ 14th percentile
Weight: 14 lbs. 12 oz. ~ 14th percentile
She continues to be such a joy and is adventurous as ever. Some random facts:
*She loves to explore, either by crawling or walking around holding onto things.
*She LOVES paper. I can't count how many times a day I have to take paper away from her and fish little pieces out of her mouth. I try to keep it all out of her reach, but she finds hidden pieces anyway.
*She hates baby food but loves "real people food". She has gobbled up pancake, pasta, zucchini, crackers, cheerios, carrots, bread, mashed potatoes, tomato and beans... just to name a few.
*She thinks it's hilarious if you make her clap her hands. She also loves peek-a-boo.
And of course, a few random pictures from her seventh month:

(She wiggled out of her jammies somehow.)

This look cracks me up

She loves to get into the cat food if I forget to put the gate on the bathroom. She likes to throw it.

SNOW!
Well, we weren't sure it would happen, but we finally got snow!

The boys were SO excited! I bundled them up and went outside with them for a little bit. There really wasn't all that much snow on the ground, but they enjoyed it anyway.
Making snow angels...

Rolling down the hill...

I'm glad to know that here in the Seattle area, the snow probably won't last for long. It sure is pretty, though... I have to admit.

The Small Stuff
I have been wanting to do a 52 week project lately.
One photo a week for a year.
52 week projects can start any time, but I decided the new year was the perfect time to start, so that's what I did. I wanted to have some kind of theme, but I also wanted to keep it simple so that I would actually follow through. So, I decided to document my life as a mother right now. I want to capture small, candid, everyday moments. Things I don't want to forget when my days are no longer filled with sticky little fingers and knock-knock jokes that don't make any sense.

P.S. If anyone wants to join in the fun, I'd love it! I could always use a bit of extra motivation to keep going. You don't have to be a "good photographer", or have a nice camera. ;)

Ben the baker
Ben LOVES rolls and would love me forever if I enjoyed making them. Unfortunately, I hate making bread. I love warm bread fresh from the oven, but I hate making it. Lucky for me, he has given me a pass and will love me forever anyway. :)
Today, he decided he was going to make rolls. He was a little nervous about how they would turn out as he was making them.
These are ready to go in the oven. (He rolled them croissant style.)

But they turned out really yummy!

Now I don't have to feel guilty about hating to make rolls because I know he can bake his own. ;)
