Hill Aerospace Museum

We've been meaning to take the boys to the Hill Aerospace museum forever now and a couple weekends ago, we finally did it. They absolutely LOVED it! In fact, the first few minutes, as we were looking at all the planes outside, Evan ran from one to the other shouting, "This is so awesome!! This is so awesome!!" over and over again. He was in heaven. He just couldn't believe he could get so close to all these cool airplanes.

I have to admit, it WAS pretty awesome. Some of these planes were SO HUGE and it felt so weird to stand right next to (or under) them.

Ben had fun reading about all the old war planes and the boys had fun learning a few things, too. They soaked it all in.

This plane had the LONGEST wings I have ever seen! I wish I had been able to get the whole thing in the picture. It probably still wouldn't have done them justice.

By the time we made it to the indoor part, we joined up with our good friends Brandon, Jess, Josh and Becca. The kids had a fun time running around together looking at everything.

On of my favorites was this gigantic helicopter. The thing was so impressive to stand next to. I wish I had gotten a picture of the outside, but you can sort of tell how big it is just from this shot of the inside.

All in all, it was a successful day of family fun. We wrapped it up with a yummy spaghetti dinner at Brandon and Jess' house, complete with Jess' homemade bread sticks. Yum!

Third time's a charm!

We are super excited to announce that we are expecting
baby number three
!!!

He/she will be arriving sometime around June 15th.

:)

I had my first doctor's appointment on Wednesday and we got to see baby kicking and bouncing around, which was fun. We were also grateful to find out that his/her heart beat and size are both perfect.

Seeing baby for the first time finally made all this morning sickness worth it.

Is it too late for Halloween?

I am sooooooo behind on blogging! Well, I'm behind on pretty much everything, including house work, so I kind of feel guilty taking time out for blogging.

But I know you're all dying to see my cute pirates, right? Right.

When I first asked the kids what they wanted to be for Halloween, they both wanted to be the same thing as last year. I was a bit disappointed, but it definitely made it easy on me! After a few weeks, Asher had jumped on the pirate bandwagon and they were both super excited about being pirates together. They decided that Evan was the captain and Asher was the first mate. :)

They were very into playing the part. Lots of "Aaarggggggg" to be heard all evening.

Evan was especially serious about it.... he refused to smile for a picture. Apparently, smiling is not very pirate-like.

Asher, on the other hand, was the smiliest pirate you'll ever meet. :)

We went trick-or-treating with our friend James and the boys loved every minute of it.

We had a bit of a rainy night for trick-or-treating. We came home with enough candy for the kids to be happy, but not tons, which was perfect in my book.

Happy belated Halloween!! :)
