The orange truck

There is this old, orange Studebaker sitting in an empty lot on main street. I notice it every time we pass it and have been dying to use it for pictures. I finally did.

It's for sale, do you think Ben would let me buy it? We could keep it in our back yard. ;)

Spring Snow

Well after about a week of beautiful spring weather, it's snowing again! *sigh* Luckily, it's still pretty warm (close to 40), so it's not sticking, but STILL! I'm ready for spring!

The boys and I went for a walk right before bed time tonight to enjoy the big fat snowflakes. It was kind of fun, I have to admit.

Cowboy

Grandpa and Grandma Johansen sent Evan some money for his birthday and we FINALLY took him out to spend it last night. He chose guns.... much to my dismay. I said no at first, but Ben insisted that every little boy needs a cap gun. I remember my brother with these exact same guns, and he turned out ok, so I guess there's still hope.

Evan LOVES them! He won't take them off! In fact, Ben is having almost as much fun with them as Evan is. They sneak around the house and shoot "bad guys" together.

Don't mind Evan's goofy look. Ben was trying to get him to do the "cowboy ready to grab his guns" pose.

Thanks Grandpa and Grandma!

Sick

Poor Asher Bug is sick. :( We thought it was just allergies, but today, it's much worse. Poor little guy. You can just look at him and tell that he doesn't feel well. (And he did NOT want a "feel better" hug from big brother!)

Mr. Potato Head

Asher has started wearing Mr. Potato Head's glasses around. The other day, he wore them for about an hour and would NOT take them off! Even when we took a trip to Daddy's office. He wore them the whole time. What a silly little guy!

Looking forward to spring

I've been dying to explore Logan's photo opportunities... especially with all the old brick buildings and the beautiful mountains... but it's been too cold! Yesterday, it was FINALLY warm enough to take the kids for a walk and snap a few pictures. I can't wait for spring!!

Glenn Miller Night

Ben and I decided to take a break from business stuff and go up to Rexburg for Glenn Miller night! The high school jazz band does this as a fundraiser. They serve a yummy steak dinner and there's lots of big band music and dancing. The fun thing about it was that my little brother, Thomas, plays the trombone in the advanced jazz band, so we got to hear him play! He even had a couple of solos and did a great job! Ben was a good sport and danced with me most of the night. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera! (I know, *ghasp*)

Business Update

Things are moving right along with the business side of life and we're really excited about it!

We have officially signed the lease on our business space! It's an awesome location. We have our own building and it's right on the main road. They are also building a brand new Wal*Mart next door.

We had our contractor (aka: Aunt Stacey) in there today and she finished almost ALL the remodeling work today. It looks awesome!

By the end of the week, we will (hopefully) have everything painted and then the new carpet can go in next week. We can also start buying all our equipment because now we actually have somewhere to put it!

Ben placed an add for a chiropractic assistant in the paper. It has only run for two days so far and he's already gotten about 50 calls! We've gone through all the resumes and Ben is holding a group interview with about 20 people on Friday.

We've designed a logo and business cards. We're currently working on a website.

I'm having fun picking out the office decor! :)

That's where we're at right now. We are hoping to be open before April!

BUSTED!

I walked into the bathroom to find Asher playing in the lotion. I thought it was too quiet!

Just two pics from today.

Nothing special about them, except that they are of my cute boys, of course. :)

My conversation with Evan at lunch today:

Evan: People always spank their crocodiles when they bark, right Mommy?

Me: What?

Evan: People spank their crocodiles when they bark, don't they?

Me: Ummm.... crocodiles don't bark, silly. (There were so many things wrong with the statement, but this was the point I decided to go with.)

Evan: Yes, they do. They bark when they get old.

What a little nut. I have NO idea where any of this came from! LOL

Some of the scenery

I thought I'd share some of our beautiful scenery! This is just down the street from our new place.

Mountains

Clouds

And of course I took some pictures of the kiddos. Unfortunately none of the ones of Evan turned out (I was experimenting :), but here's a cute one of Asher:

Home, sweet home.

We are officially moved in to our apartment! We've still got some unpacking to do, but (surprisingly) it's mostly done! We have no furniture (so if you plan to drop by, be advised that you will have no where to sit!), but we hope to remedy that soon enough. It's a cute little place, and we've been happy with it so far. Several of the neighbors have come over and introduced themselves, and they all seem really nice. We're looking forward to having a good experience here! :)

Party Time!

Evan had his birthday party on Friday night. We invited all his cousins over and it was tons of fun! Unfortunately, my camera battery died half way through the party, so we ended up with the point and shoot for most of the time, but oh well!

I think the favorite activity was the pinata!
