Street Fair in the International District

Last Saturday, there was a street fair in Chinatown. Ben was manning a booth there, so we went to check it out. I really wanted to remember my camera, but of course I didn't. Bummer. Phone pictures will have to do.

Some performers were putting on a show with the Chinese lion when we got there, so we went over for a closer look.



It came weaving it's way through the crowd and stopped right in front of Ellie, literally inches from her face, and blinked it's eyes at her.



She did NOT like it one bit. She didn't cry, which I thought was impressive, but she closed her eyes and squished herself as far back into her stroller as she could get! lol

Next was the Chinese dragon, which was also really cool.



After that, we visited Ben at his booth and then we walked around and enjoyed the sights. This booth had these sculptures made completely out of fruit!



We also sampled these yummy BBQed pork sticks and a mango lemonade. Mmmm.



Evan got his face painted while Asher opted for a tattoo on his arm, and then we topped off the afternoon with balloon swords.



What more could we ask for! ;)
