Halloween fun!

We had a lot of fun for Halloween this year! It all started with the trunk-or-treat to get us in the Halloween spirit. Then, on Monday night, some friends of ours hosted a really fun pumpkin carving party!

The boys really enjoyed carving their own pumpkins.

Ellie really enjoyed going up and down the stairs. Over and over and over.

There was also a fun little craft for the kids who were done with their pumpkins. 10 29 25web

The crew! Well, part of them. I couldn't get them all in the frame. (And I have no idea what Evan is doing.)10 29 37web

Pumpkins! Asher's is the spider one in the back. I'm not sure which one is Evan's. 10 29 34web

Ellie came and plopped herself down by the boys while I was snapping pictures so Asher kindly fetched her a pumpkin to hold. 10 29 47web

The day of Halloween, we spent the morning with friends. Evan had been asking me if we were going to have a Halloween party for "school". My friend Aubrey asked if we wanted to come over and do a little Halloween lunch with them, which worked out perfectly!

They made mummy pizzas...

Then, we made skeletons out of Qtips. I was worried they would think the craft was lame, but they all really enjoyed it!

Finished skeletons:

To wrap things up, they all snuggled onto the couch to watch a Halloween show. 10 31 20web

Then, the much anticipated Halloween night finally rolled around!

Neither of the boys wanted to be a zombie again, so I had to come up with last minute costumes. We ended up with a skeleton, a Harry Potter, and a fairy. 10 31 28web

I forgot to bring my camera with us and was kicking myself the whole time because Ellie was SO cute! She loves to carry bags, purses, etc. so she was in heaven just toddling down the sidewalk with her candy bucket swinging from her arm.

When she realized she could get candy at the houses, that was even better!

After a few blocks, all she wanted to do was get her candy out of her bucket and try to eat it, so I sat her in the stroller and gave her a sucker. She was happy as a clam for the rest of the night.

The boys enjoyed themselves immensely, of course.

When we got home, it was time for the candy sorting!

Happy skeleton.

Ellie just wanted to eat candy after candy.

She was quite offended when she realized we weren't going to let her eat it all and she was, in fact, going to have to go to bed.

It's pretty much tradition to have a bawling, chocolate covered toddler picture for Halloween when our kids are this age.

Some of you may remember Asher's. :)

Happy Halloween!!

Li, I love reading your blog posts. Your kids are so cute!

Maybe it's the late hour, but I literally busted out laughing when Asher's picture came up! That is such a funny picture of him.

It looks like you guys had a lot of fun! The picture with the 3 kids and the pumpkins is so sweet! I LOVE the picture of Ellie eating the kit kat and then crying. I love how kids get so emotional over Halloween candy :-).

Ellie is cute even when she's crying. I feel bad for laughing at her KitKat dispair.
