Pinewood Derby!

My little cub scout had his very first pinewood derby a few weeks ago. He was SOOOO excited! Despite a little mishap with his car, in which he had to start all over with a new one, he was pretty proud of the end result.



He was a little bummed that it didn't perform up to his standards, placing third in most of the heats it was in, but I think he still had fun. Next year, we'll have to read up on ways to make a really fast pinewood derby car.

He ended up winning the "fire and ice" award for his car design (in case it's hard to tell, his car is all white with red flames painted on it).
