SIX!

I took Asher's birthday pictures a few weeks ago, so I guess I'd better finally post them. ;)


What a big boy this little guy is becoming! He is looking so grown up lately, and six just sounds so much older than five for some reason. *sniff*

Asher adds such a sweet element to our family. He's the happy, smiley, snuggley, lovey one. I can always count on him for hugs and kisses, or to snuggle with me on the couch in the morning.



He's so sweet and tender with his little sister and she adores him for it. He calls her "my girl". As in, "You're my girl, aren't you?".... accompanied by a hug and a kiss on her forehead, of course. Do you know of any other little boy who would include his baby sister in his drawing of a cool race car?



Asher is so happy and excited about everything, even the smallest little things. He's the most likely to thank me for everyday things like his favorite dinner or a trip to the park. He's always writing me and Ben sweet notes about how much he loves us.

This little smartypants is following in the footsteps of his big brother when it comes to being brainy. He's been moved up to first grade for the reading and writing portion of his day at school and has been loving it. He loves to read and solve math problems. He's been loving school and all the friends he's made there. (Although, he does get jealous of the fun things Evan gets to do in homeschool and has already told me he wants to do homeschool next year.)
