On Friday, we went to the Cruise In (car show) because we thought the boys would love it. Evan fell asleep in the stroller, but Asher enjoyed himself! It was fun to see all the cool cars. Asher was still telling me all about it at the dinner table tonight.

The oldest cars there... both from 1929:

My favorite.... the inside of this trailer was so cute!

Die Hard Car Nut

After the car show, we went and visited our friends who were camping at Doc Flats.

We had such a fun time! We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and the kids ran all over the place and got SOOOOO dirty!!

Asher's messy hands:

Brandon's parents came up for dinner, too and when "Grandpa Boyd" started squirting water into the kids' mouths, they couldn't get enough!! They laughed and begged for more.

(I love the look on Rusty's face in this one! LOL)

I caught this really cute pic of Asher while they were having their water fun:

By the time they were done, all four boys were soaked! So, they all wanted to take off their wet shirts and show off their muscles. :)

We stayed late into the night talking and even telling a few ghost stories. It was a great time!
Yesterday, for the 4th, we went over to Hyrum to catch the end of the parade and check out the booths. Ben had a booth there (manned by our office manager) and wanted to check in with her, too. We got some cotton candy just for fun. :)
For dinner, we went down to Ben's parents' house for a bbq. We had some yummy food and great conversation. The boys had fun running around in the big back yard and playing with their cousin Roman.

We had done about a half hour of our drive home (which takes about an hour) when Ben realized he had forgotten his phone, so we had to drive all the way back and get it. We were treated to this amazing sunset on the way:

We got to see all the different firework shows in all the little towns as we drove past on the freeway, which was kind of cool. We didn't get home until 11:00, but Evan was SOOOO excited about the small fireworks that we had purchased that we had to do a few of them really quick before bed.
All in all, it was a great holiday weekend full of fun! We hope you all had a great holiday, too! :)
