The VP Debate

As many of you know, the Vice Presidential Debate was held here in St. Louis on Thursday. As many of you also know, Ben lives and breathes politics, so he couldn't pass up VIP tickets to the debate party. We hired a babysitter for the first time ever and went to the debate party together. I have to admit, it was pretty fun. It was a really different experience to watch the debate as part of a huge crowd that was cheering and booing at every word. Very different from the last debate, which we watched quietly from our hotel room in Memphis while the boys were sleeping.

The most exciting part of the evening was when Sarah Palin came over to talk to us after the debate. It was cool to see her in person.

We also spotted Abe Lincoln in the crowd. :) These two cracked me up.
Abe Lincoln and Mrs. Patriotic?

That is pretty cool that you got to go. I was even thinking it would have been fun to watch in person.

That's awesome that you guys went Li. We wanted to, but procrastinated and then it was too late. How fun. It's great that you guys are so involved with the political process.
