Braving the rain

Today, we had big plans to take the boys on a ferry ride and maybe see a bit of the city (as well as paying our friends on the other side of The Sound a little visit to help them unload their moving van). All that was ruined when I awoke to the sound of puking at 6:30 this morning.

Never a good sound to wake up to... especially because I immediately tried to jump out of bed, forgetting my giant belly and lack of abdominal muscles. It didn't work out so well.

Poor Asher was sick all morning long, so we decided to take it easy today. Luckily, he was feeling better by lunch time and seemed fine the rest of the day.

By dinner time, we were all a bit stir crazy and so, despite the fact that it was pouring rain, we set off for a little family outing, although we kept it close to home. We drove the short distance to the southern tip of Lake Washington to check out a park there. We walked along the shore in the rain and then ventured out onto the pier. The boys thought it was awesome. I left my camera in the car because I didn't want it to get wet, but by the end of the walk, the rain had let up, so we snapped a few pictures before leaving.

It wasn't an exciting ferry ride, or exploring Seattle, but it was still a fun little family outing. We even braved the rain... maybe we'll fit in here after all. ;)
